Kimberly Smith is Patti's youngest sister by ten and a half years.
Patti wrote the song "Kimberly" for her, and recorded it on
Horses. Kimberly is a guitarist/songwriter, and got some of
her first stage experience playing acoustic guitar for her
namesake song when Patti went on tour to promote the album in
the late '70s. After living in New York and playing in several
bands there (The Lust, Spurs) Kimberly relocated to Richmond, Va.
She plays with the group Grace Street there, and has joined
Patti for recent shows in Central Park, Philadelphia and Ann Arbor.
