Patti Smith, tells me that he has engaged an Agent to submit his old PSG Drumset for Auction on eBay. This's a major souvenir: This same kit played on Dream of Life, Gone Again, Peace & Noise, and Gung Ho! I've prevailed upon JD (It was Easy) to allow me to bring this exciting News to Friends and Fans everywhere via babelist and babelogue. The Good News is that he is NOT retiring, but simply making room. There is No Bad News.

A five piece Yamaha Recording Custom drum set bought new by Jay Dee Daugherty in 1986, this is a one-owner kit; and a certificate of authenticity will be provided by Jay Dee. It has been used on the last four Patti Smith records, as well as on all her tours and broadcast performances since then. It has also been used on sessions, tours, and records for Bob Dylan, the Indigo Girls, the Church, the Waterboys, Joan Osbourne, Tom Verlaine, and many others. If you have heard this drum set live or on record, you know it sounds exceptional - microphones LOVE these drums. It has been professionally maintained and is in very good condition.

William Blake Exhibition,
the legendary poet, musician and performance artist,
Patti Smith,
reveals her admiration for the great artist and poet in a unique, solo performance to be held in St. James's Church, Piccadilly, where Blake was baptised. The evening will include a selection of Songs and Readings from her Writings and from those of contemporaries such as Allen Ginsberg.
